Date Weekend in DC...

I spent this past weekend in DC with the love of my life, he's amazing and always finds ways to make me feel special. I love my babe, he planned a quick little weekend get a way for us, he plans most of our outings because he's so damn good at it. I'm too indecisive when it comes to making plans, so I love the fact that I can leave it in his hands! We snatched up tickets to the Lakers and Wizards game, being that it was last minute and the Lakers were playing you can imagine where we sat. However, I'm not really a sports girl so I don't pay attention to the game that much anyway, we loaded up on snacks and had a great time. DC has so much history, there's so much to see, and so much to do! We ate, we laughed, we played it was a wonderful weekend! I wanted to be comfortable and needed something that I could wear from the game straight to dinner and where ever else we decided to go afterwards. I decided to go with my black ASOS Polo Neck Mini Dress, I threw on some accessories with it, my Timbs, and my ASOS Parka.

Holiday Mini Haul!!

Going out to shop on Black Friday wasn't an option for me, packed malls, crowded stores, and people stepping all over each other isn't really my thing! I like to shop in peace when stores aren't busy, and I have first dibs on the fitting room...I went to the mall Monday night and it looked like a ghost town, I got a great parking space and was in and out of stores in no time. There were no long lines to wait in, so it was nothing but smiles over here.. I needed a few sweaters so I stopped at my usual stores Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, and H&M. I also purchased a few dresses, a parka, and a pair of pumps online from two of my fav stores ASOS and LuLu's, I cant wait for them to arrive!! I must say I found better deals online than I did in the actual stores, ASOS was offering an extra 30% off of any item, and I believe LuLu's gave an additional 15% off!! I purchased the dresses, shoes, and jacket for under $200 bucks!!

Weekend Goodies!!

This past weekend I attended the Return of The Curls Holiday Trunk Show in Richmond, VA, the turn out was great the place was packed. I really planned on taking pictures once I got in the venue, but there were so many people that just trying to maneuver around the room was a struggle. There were lots of great vendors I spent about $40 bucks and left with lots of little goodies. I love events like this where local merchants come out sell products and network.. Being that I'm natural events of this nature always draw me in!! I pretty much have a solid regimen when it comes to my hair, I have my staple products and styles, however I still keep my eyes open for interesting products to try every now and then. I purchased a Green Tea & Coconut Conditioner Bar from Tree Naturals, the ingredients look delish, cant wait to try it!! I also left with a lovely new lip gloss from Mod Gyrl Cosmetics, this gloss is the best so thick and heavy concentrated with color it lasts for hours, I will be purchasing more glosses in the future from Mod Gyrl Cosmetics!! I also purchased a red faux leather bracelet, along with a couple pairs of earrings from The Jewelry Box and Fabulosity Jewelz both of which are located in Richmond...Here are a few pics of my look and my goodies!!

A WICKED trip into the city...

I had an amazing time this past weekend in New Jersey/NYC with my family. I got to catch up with my little cousins, celebrate my aunts bday, and go into the city to see Wicked. I was blown away it was an amazing play, my first time on Broadway, and I'm glad I got to share the experience with my fam!! The set was amazing, the actors were great, needless to say I was in aw by the time the show was over, Lion King is next on my list!! Here are a few pics I took while I was there, It was all about comfort for me so it was a perfect time to wear my Docs. I went to H&M a few days before the trip and found this little leopard dress which I'm in love with. The material on the dress is thick, it has a nice stretch to it, and the zipper in the back of the dress is well worth the twenty something bucks I paid for it! I paired it with my faux leather vest which I also bought at H&M, and of course black opaque tights which kept my legs warm while walking around the city..

My latest buy.. I saw these booties while I was browsing on VictoriaSecret.com the other day, they were originally $75 dollars and they had them on sale for $59. I thought $59 was a pretty good price for these little booties, I wasn't familiar with the brand so I decided to google them by name and style and ran across a website called 6pm.com they had the same exact booties for $36.00 which was a complete steal so of course I got them. They arrived today I tried them on as soon as I got home and I love them...I can do so many different looks with these little booties. I'm glad I did my research because I saved $23 bucks plus the shipping was free at 6pm.com, I've since added this website to my favorites they have some great fall boots at great prices!!

NIGHTSTANDS are UP!

Ok, so of course I put my nightstands together the same day I got them, I just had to. Talk about excited I couldn't wait to see what they looked like in my room. Well the verdict is in and I love them, they go perfectly with my decor!! I wanted to do something a little different besides just putting lamps on my nightstands, so I went to HomeGoods blog and found some inspiration there. I've picked up little unique pieces for my nightstands for the past few days from GardenRidge and HomeGoods (love these stores)!! Here are a few pics of my nightstands while they were still bare, I will post pics of the finished product once I have all my nic nacs on them, which should be in the next week or so. I'm doing a little remodeling around my place and I must say I'm really getting into it! Interior design has always been a little passion of mine...

World Market

So, after driving past World Market for months now, and hearing about it briefly from others I decided to take a trip and see what all the hype was about...OMG I love this store, it's one of those places that has something for everyone, very unique little pieces, they have everything from wine to bedroom furniture. I was on a quest to bring some fun to my sectional sofa, so I added some throw pillows a while ago but still wasn't satisfied with the overall look. During my first trip to World Market I purchased two shiny silver throw pillows which were $12.99 each, yes this store is very affordable. My second visit I purchased a mustard colored velvet bolster pillow for $16.99, these really completed the look I was going for...Today finally after searching high and low I found some night stands that will go perfectly in my bedroom, I was looking for some non traditional nightstands in a sense, something a little different but not over the top. The ones I purchased today from World Market are perfect, they were on sale for $69.99 each, I had eyed them on a previous visit and after going in the store today decided to take them home with me...I will be putting them together tonight of course....more pics to come...

Salute: The American Flag

My obsession with online shopping is getting worse, I've banned myself from any website where I can click and spend money for a month!! However my ASOS purchase from last week arrived today. I love ASOS, such a great variety of pieces, they have something for everyone and wonderful prices. My latest ASOS buy was this A X American Flag tank, the material feels great it's a cotton and spandex blend, so it has a bit of stretch to it and wont fade like a regular black cotton tank! I will be getting a lot of wear out of this piece by layering it under my Motorcycle Jacket and other fall pieces....

Today's outfit, H&M blouse my new fav jeans BDG High Rise Cigarette Jeans (Urban Outfitters) and my Minnetonkas..I love these jeans, I've always been a fan of high waisted jeans and these are a perfect fit!! This is my second pair of jeans from BDG, I will definitely be purchasing more in the near future!!

Thursdays Thrift Store Finds...

Typically when I go thrifting I have in mind what I want, otherwise I would be sifting through items for hours. Today I was looking for a leather skirt, a plaid knee length wool skirt, and a army fatigue jacket, however I had no luck finding those things.. I ended up leaving with three purses and a beautiful bracelet all for a little over $20 bucks, this is why I LOVE thrifting!!
