Summer Slides

This Summer I swear its all about the slide; as much as I love a great 70's- esq inspired platform and chunky heel- I must say I am really diggin' slides this Summer. After seeing them just about everywhere from magazines, to my fav go-to bloggers, I decided to take a trip to Forever21 (as they have an amazing Summer sandal collection this year) and not to disappoint they had tons of great slides. I ended up snatching up a super cute gold pair, I could've easily bought them in every color but I didn't want to get carried away, I hate impulse shopping! So, I'll see how I feel by weeks end and may make another trip to Forever21, and add a few more pair to my Summer sandal collection. For under $20 bucks you really cant beat it! FYI if you're shopping online I would say go up at least a half size I typically wear a 7 1/2 and had to get my sandals in an 8. Weekend Looks!

Yassss layering season is here, although Summer is my favorite season, I cant help but love the Fall/ Winter due to the fact that I love layering my clothing. Summer clothes are cute and simple but I really feel like you can create amazing looks during the colder months when layering, boots, and accessories come into play. As you all know a few weekends ago I attended VA Fashion Week, and wanted to share my looks with you. After 12 years of owning my Guess by Marciano bustier I finally got a chance to wear it, and I'm absolutely in love with it, why am I just now wearing this piece! I wore it under my Forever 21 blazer and over the knee Colin Stuart boots that I ordered from Victoria Secret a few years ago. My favorite Moto Jacket and black Fedora were also in rotation that weekend, here are a few pics of my looks! Ladies what are your favorite winter accessories I must say mine is hats, but I also have a new found addiction to leather gloves!

A Day in D.C

This passed Sunday a friend and I hit the road and headed to DC. I love DC its such a melting pot of unique folks from all walks of life, from the shopping to the food, I always have a good time whenever I'm in the District of Colombia. We checked out a few vintage stores, which honestly were way too pricey for me. I'm a true thrifter so paying high prices for used clothing just doesn't add up to me, next time i'll be sure to make my way to the nearest goodwill where I can find some great vintage pieces at a reasonable price. We of course did the whole Georgetown thing, made our way to Sprinkles to grab a few cupcakes, and then headed to Georgia Brown's for dinner. Georgia Brown's was great the menu offered a nice variety of Southern Style cuisine, I got salmon with mac and cheese and a side of broccoli. I basically created my own meal, which was absolutely delicious and filling, the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely as well its what to be expected from any fine restaurant in the DC/ Northern VA area. I highly recommend if you live in or are visiting the DC area to check out Georgia Browns, you wont be disappointed. Here are a few pics of my OOTD, for the first time this summer I got a chance to wear my orange F21 Duster along with my gifted Eshakti crop top and my high- waisted Urban Outfitter jeans. Just about every pair of jeans in my closet are from Urban Outfitters, I even have duplicates of the same wash. I absolutely love their high-waisted denim they fit me perfectly and the fact that they come in "long" are a plus! Here are a few candids of my day in DC!

Holiday Mini Haul

Happy New Year, hope everyone had an amazing holiday! So I truly cant believe 2013 has come and gone already, I had a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to an amazing 2014! I have some great things in store for BarclayINC this year! I recently just purchased a tripod which I should've done a long time ago, so be on the look out for lots of outfit post, I will be sharing a lot of my looks with you guys this year! I'm so looking forward to the new direction the blog will be going in throughout 2014! Ok, so I was suppose to share my Holiday Mini Haul with you guys weeks ago, but got a bit caught up in holiday shopping and getting geared up for the New Year, my apologies! RVA Fashion Week has arrived!!

RVA Fashion Week kicked off yesterday with the City Skyline Trunk Show at the Observation Deck above City Hall in Downtown Richmond. Wow, what a perfect venue to host the first event in this years RVAFW, the views of the city from the Observation Deck were amazing. The turn out was lovely and there were a lot of great local artist and designers, selling and displaying their goods! There was everything from T-Shirts and Vintage clothing to make-up, earrings and accessories. I ended up scoring two great pairs of Vintage earrings from STYLEDENTITY, one of the local vendors at the Trunk Show. It was rather chilly yesterday so I decided to throw on one of my favorite pair of High Waisted Jeans from Urban Outfitters, a little crop top from American Apparel, a long flowy number from Forever21 (one of my favorite pieces) and my ASOS sandals. Here are some pics of my look and yesterdays event. I will be attending several other RVAFW events throughout the week, so stay tuned for more to come on this wonderful event!!!

Jamaica is near and Spring's almost here!!

Later this month I will be going to Jamaica I'm super excited, I don't want to do anything but drink rum and lay on the beach. I'm packing light my suitcase will consist of a few bikinis and cover ups, some dresses, and sandals. ASOS, Target, and Forever21 didn't disappoint I picked up so many cute little pieces, that were reasonably priced of course! Brights, prints, bold colors, strappy sandals, and black & white basically sum up this years Summer looks! Of course ASOS was a big hit they always have so many great pieces I picked up a few cover ups for ten bucks a piece, a gorgeous white dress and a pair of sandals. I went to Target and scored another pair of Prabal Gurung for Target sandals which I'm so excited about I love the color of these sandals and was hoping I would be able to get my hands on a pair before Spring really hit! Needless to say my Spring/ Summer wardrobe is in the making....
