My Amazing Thrifted Top!

On a whim I decided to go thrifting yesterday, I was looking for a few new pieces of jewelry and always find my best pieces at thrift stores. Of course I went to one of my fav thrift stores here in Richmond, Fan Tastic Thrift ( in the fan), most of you have probably seen me mention them in previous post! After browsing through the vast selection of women's skirts and blazers, I made my way to the jewelry, saw a few pieces that caught my eye, but nothing that I just had to have. Then I made my way to towards the front of the store, just to make sure I hadn't missed anything when I noticed a little sign in the middle of the clothes rack that read "vintage". I made my way over and spotted a gorgeous beaded yellow top, I pulled it out to see if it was my size and headed straight to the mirror, as I stood there holding it up to myself an older lady walked up to me and said "that's a gorgeous top" which reconfirmed that I needed to take it home with me. This is one of those finds that keeps me thrifting this top is amazing, the color looks great on my skin and is perfect for the spring. Its sheer and the beading is just beautiful, this top has amazing details such as scalloped detailing on the sleeves and at the hemline, its long in length hitting about mid thigh on me. Its just an amazing buy especially for $5 bucks I could't go wrong. These pictures do it no justice, but I will be wearing this top lots this spring so be on the lookout for some upcoming post on how I style it.

NYFW: Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 Collection

Of course one of my goals as a Fashion Blogger is to make it to NYFW, I know one day I will, yes I'm claiming it now! In the meantime I look to my favorite bloggers and fashion mags to keep me in the loop as to what all is going on during NYFW, from the fashion shows to the after parties its definitely a scene that I would love to be apart of, and will be in the near future! One of my favorite collections from this years Mercedes- Benz Fashion Week has to be Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 collection, its absolutely amazing! I was already a huge fan of Marc Jacobs he keeps things fresh and innovative year after year, this years Fall 2014 collection was no different. I loved the clean and neutral fall color palette that Jacobs choose to go with for this years collection, he kept things simple but at the same time the simplicity didn't take away from the beauty of his pieces! Ms Kendall Jenner even made an appearance on the run-way and looked absolutely breath taking, she's such a gorgeous girl; I almost didn't recognize her with bleached out eyebrows and neck length bob. Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite looks from this years Marc Jacobs Fall 2014 Collection.

February Favorites!

Hey ladies, I wanted to share some of my February Favorites with you all! Although spring is just around the corner, it definitely doesn't feel that way here in the RVA!  It's been one hell of a winter here from snow to single digit temps, I'm definitely ready for some warmer days. In the meantime shopping for new spring pieces makes me happy, February is the month in which I stop buying winter pieces and start looking for pieces that can transition from winter to spring, all the items that made my February Favorites do just that. These are pieces that can be layered and take you through the rest of winter straight into warmer spring days!
