Product Review: Beyond The Zone Heat Protectant

Hey ladies, I just wanted to share a quick little vlog I did last night about Beyond The Zone Heat Protectant! As a natural that straightens I always make sure to use a good quality heat protectant to protect my curls/hair from heat damage! Being that I love big full hair even when blown out, (IE Kelis, Tracee Ellis Ross) I look for a product that's light, non- greasy and wont weigh my hair down. Beyond The Zone Turn Up The Heat did the trick, I love the fact that this product comes in a spray bottle, the consistency is very light, and it smells amazing. I highly recommend this product to naturals that use heat, it will leave your hair light and flowy, for $7 bucks you really can't beat it!

Return of The Curls: Curls Around The World Tour

Well my fellow naturals I am happy to announce that I am a part of this years Return of The Curls Bloggers crew! If you remember a few posts back I spoke at the Return of The Curls Holiday Trunk Show, I had such an amazing time that I decided to team up with them again and get on board with this years Curls Around The World Tour! The tour will be hitting some great city's this year including Los Angeles, Greensboro, Louisville, and of course Richmond. I will be working alongside with some wonderful Natural Hair and Fashion Bloggers, I'm so excited about whats to come in the upcoming months! I'll be updating the blog frequently with information on the Curls Around The World Tour upcoming shows, some great natural hair info, and what you ladies can expect when you attend a show or any Return of The Curls event!

My Staple Style- Vlog now up!

Hey Ladies, I did another vlog today just talking a little bit about my regimen and how I achieve my curls by pin curling my hair! I also discuss my love of Suave Daily Clarifying shampoo and Aussie Moist conditioner both of which I've been using for years. I typically wash my hair every 7 days or so and deep condition when necessary, I don't use a lot of products on my hair, I keep things pretty simple when it comes to my regimen. I was a product junkie for years, and got way out of hand I still have a ton of different unused products under my sink, I'm truly happy that over time I've figured out what works for me! I'm going to try to do at least 2 vlogs a month discussing my hair regi and my staple products so be on the look for more to come!

A Few New Lippies!

I recently took a little trip to Ulta, I've been a fan of Ulta for years! They have such a great selection of make-up and hair products I could literally stay in this store for hours! I also love the fact that Ulta frequently has buy one get one free sales on all of their cosmetics, which is why I figured it would be a good time to purchase some new lippies. I ended up walking away with a few great glosses and lipsticks and only spent about $15 bucks or so!

  

 

 

Lipstick with gloss over top! I typically will put a little gloss over top of my lipstick to really make the color pop and for added shine.

My First Vlog!

I decided that I wanted to start vlogging in 2014, just as an extension of the blog! I feel like vlogs can provide a little more intimate experience and I really want to be more interactive with my readers this year, and take BarclayINC in a different direction! I decided to record my first vlog a few days ago in between taking pics for an up and coming post that I'll be bringing you ladies about some new lippies I recently purchased. So this is basically a clean unedited version of me, videos will get better with time so just bare with me ladies! OOTN: Outfit of The Night

So, yesterday was date night my babe and I decided to hit the town! The weather in Richmond has been brutal lately, I mean its been a super cold Winter thus far! Since it's definitely sweater and boot weather, I opted for a mustard colored sweater that I picked up a few weeks ago from H&M, and paired it with my BDG Jeans from Urban Outfitters along with my Colin Stuart over the knee boots that I ordered from Victoria Secret last year! Let me just say I'm obsessed with these boots so you will be seeing a lot more of them this Winter!

Dress for Success Central Virginia Presents: Rock Your Red Fashion Show

Dress for Success Central Virginia will be hosting a fashion show on April 2nd right here in the RVA, the Rock Your Red Fashion Show will take place at The Canal Club! Dress for Success is currently looking for designers to participate in the show, there is a $25 submission fee and the top 3 designers will receive a prize! They are also looking for vendors as well as accepting donations for the show; so let me tell you a little bit about why you should participate or attend this wonderful event. Holiday Mini Haul

Happy New Year, hope everyone had an amazing holiday! So I truly cant believe 2013 has come and gone already, I had a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to an amazing 2014! I have some great things in store for BarclayINC this year! I recently just purchased a tripod which I should've done a long time ago, so be on the look out for lots of outfit post, I will be sharing a lot of my looks with you guys this year! I'm so looking forward to the new direction the blog will be going in throughout 2014! Ok, so I was suppose to share my Holiday Mini Haul with you guys weeks ago, but got a bit caught up in holiday shopping and getting geared up for the New Year, my apologies!
